Certifications & Quality
European standards that guarantee your project's safety and quality
Quality Is Our Foundation
At PL PMK, certifications are not just documents on the wall — they represent our commitment to quality, safety, and European standards. Every structure we fabricate is backed by rigorous quality control and certified processes.
Our certifications enable us to deliver steel structures for projects across the European Union, giving our clients confidence that every component meets the highest standards for load-bearing safety and welding quality.
EN 1090 EXC2 — Load-Bearing Steel Structures
EN 1090 is the European standard for the fabrication of steel and aluminum structures. EXC2 (Execution Class 2) is the required certification level for most construction and infrastructure projects in the EU.
This certification means that our fabrication processes, welding procedures, quality control, and personnel qualifications have been audited and approved by an independent notified body.
What EN 1090 EXC2 Means for You:
- Structures compliant with EU Construction Products Regulation (CPR 305/2011)
- CE marking for steel structures
- Audited fabrication processes
- Traceable quality control documentation
- Approved for EU-wide construction projects
ISO 3834 — Welding Quality Management
ISO 3834 is the international standard for welding quality management systems. It ensures that our welding operations meet the highest international requirements for quality, safety, and reliability.
Combined with EN 1090 EXC2, ISO 3834 certification demonstrates our comprehensive approach to quality — from raw material inspection through welding procedures to final product verification.
Key Aspects of ISO 3834:
- Qualified welding procedures (WPS/WPQR)
- Certified welders and welding operators
- Systematic quality control and documentation
- Non-destructive testing (NDT) capabilities
- Continuous process improvement
International Welding Engineer (IWE) Supervision
Our production is supervised by a qualified International Welding Engineer (IWE) — the highest European qualification for welding engineering. The IWE is responsible for developing and approving welding procedures, supervising production welding, and ensuring compliance with all applicable standards.
This level of supervision ensures that every weld in our facility meets the stringent requirements of EN 1090 EXC2 and ISO 3834.
IWE Responsibilities:
- Welding procedure qualification (WPS/WPQR)
- Weld supervision and inspection
- Quality documentation review
- Personnel training and certification
- Continuous quality improvement
Certified Welders
All our welders are certified according to European standards (EN 287-1 / ISO 9606). Regular testing and recertification ensure that their skills remain current and compliant with the latest requirements.
Our welding team has extensive experience across a wide range of materials, thicknesses, and joint configurations, enabling us to tackle diverse project requirements.
Welder Certifications Cover:
- MIG/MAG welding (steel, stainless steel)
- TIG welding
- Various material thicknesses
- All welding positions
- Regular recertification per standards
